BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell was indicted after an investigation into corruption.

A federal grand jury handed down the indictment on Friday, Aug. 15. Cantrell is the first female mayor in history of the city and her term will come to an end on January 12, 2026.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill filed a lawsuit in state court against online gaming platform Roblox.

AG Murrill claimed that it has become a dangerous place for children and a popular place for sexual predators to find their victims.
