A Middlesbrough man has started prison sentence after he was convicted of sexually abusing two young children. Dale Henderson, 58, denied the offences which took place in the 1980's. But he was found guilty of five of the six counts, by a jury after standing trial at Teesside Crown Court in June.

Henderson was convicted of gross indecency with a child and inciting the same victim to engage in sexual activity. He was also convicted of three counts of inciting a second child to engage in sexual activity. He was cleared of one count of gross indecency with a child.

The trial heard distressing evidence that the predator placed Midget Gems on his genital area before forcing his victims to perform sex acts on him. The victims said that Henderson told them not to tell anyone.
