LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - University of Kentucky’s campus welcomed 2,000 students Sunday for the first Big Blue Move-In day.
Move-In days are allotted time frames for students to move into their residence halls.
“We really try to make sure UK housing is their home away from home,” said Lisa Williams, executive director of UK’s Auxiliary Services.
Williams said they’ve got move-in days down to a science.
“We know it is a stressful experience, we know it is anxiety inducing and we also know it’s a really positive experience, so keeping that attitude and just enjoying it for what it is, is really, really important to us,” she said.
For Chris Burchett and his son, Micah, they say the move in process has been a breeze, which makes it even easier to focus on the year ahead.
