SALT LAKE CITY — Residents who live in the area where a fire broke out on in North Ogden were allowed back home on Thursday night. By Saturday, the evacuation order once in place days ago has been downgraded to a “green” status.

According to the North Ogden City, the Willard Peak Fire has been suppressed enough that the evacuation order could be downgraded to a ready status, otherwise known as a green status.

“The Weber County Sheriff and Northern Utah Type 3 Incident Management Team feel comfortable that it is safe to downgrade the evacuation order for the residents east of 1050 East and north of 2850 North,” North Ogden City stated in a Facebook post. “This decision is based on the success of fire suppression efforts over the last few days.”
