SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - For 12 days South Dakota amateur baseball teams have been competing with hopes of competing on championship Sunday.
The matchup for the Class A championship was the Harrisburg Woodies vs the Renner Monarchs.
This was a rematch of the longest game of the tournament, Renner beat the Woodies in 15 innings a little over 48 hours before this game.
Renner had one day of rest while Harrisburg had to play on Saturday for their spot.
The Woodies got on the board in the first inning, Jack Sutton hit a double, then Tyler Mitzel drove him home.
Mitzel was also the starting pitcher for Harrisburg.
