It’s game night, Bills Mafia! The Buffalo Bills’ first primetime game in front of a national audience is upon us, and there’s a lot at stake. While the score’s kept on the field and in official record books, it’s of perfunctory meaning only.

Tonight, what matters most has everything to do with a now-household Buffalo Rumblings phrase courtesy of the enigmatic Bruce Nolan that seeks answers to the questions about “where, when, and with whom” individual players compete. That, of course, isn’t ground-breaking in conceptual nature. It’s just that where so many people are easily dismissive of preseason football, it actually holds a ton of importance. These games serve as dress rehearsal for players, and for some it’s the only live reps they’ll see in an entire season.
