HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) - Three pets were rescued from a house fire in Hutchinson on Saturday.

Around 4:40 p.m., the Hutchinson Fire Department was called to a structure fire on Halsey Drive. When the crews arrived, they reported flames on the back side of the home. Firefighters began working to bring the fire under control.

Additional crews searched inside the home and found three pets. One dog was given oxygen after being exposed to smoke and heat.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes.

The residents were not home at the time, and no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
