Serious injuries were reported after a car crash in Somers, according to police.

LifeStar has been called to the scene, authorities said.

Connecticut State Police said that Troop C along with Somers Police responded to the accident along Battle Street and Mason Lane.

At the scene, responders found a car that crashed into a utility pole and wires had been brought down, authorities said.

Battle Street is currently closed, Somers Fire Department said.

The scene is still active.
