WINONA, Texas (KETK) - Winona ISD announced that they're pushing back their first day of school to Tuesday because of a sewer line issue.

The district was originally slated to have their first day of school on Monday, Aug. 18 but the sewer issue has made the district decide to close all of their campuses on Monday.

"We will be back Tuesday for our 1st day of school and can’t wait to see our students and staff back on campus. Go Cats!! It’s going to be a great year," Winona ISD said on Sunday.
