Boston is looking at cooler temperatures and drier weather headed into the next week, according to National Weather Service forecasts.

“We’re looking at a quiet week this week with cooler than average temperatures for most of the week,” said NWS meteorologist Bryce Williams. “We’ll see highs, about 20 degrees cooler than (Sunday).”

Monday is expected to see a much lower high in the low 70s, with mostly sunny skies, forecasts show. The dry, mostly sunny weather is forecasted to continue through Tuesday, while the high may climb closer to the mid-70s, NWS states.

Typical average highs for this time of year are in the low 80s, Williams said, meaning highs throughout the week are anticipated to be five to 10 degrees below normal.
