Two separate flights had to return to Boston Sunday night following unrelated issues midair.
The planes that returned to Boston Logan International Airport after departure included Delta flight 464 and American Airlines flight 2616, the airlines confirmed to NBC10 Boston.

According to Delta, its impacted plane was bound for Salt Lake City when there was an alert related to one of the aircraft's doors.
Once back in Boston, maintenance inspected the plane, and it was cleared to continue on its journey, eventually landing safely in Salt Lake City, the airline said in a statement.
"We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel,” Delta said.
