GRAND FORKS — Steady was the main description for Dustin Fanfulik this weekend at the Greater Grand Forks All City Championship.
The 35-year-old East Grand Forks graduate shot two rounds of 71, then beat two other golfers in a one-hole playoff to secure the championship at King's Walk on Sunday.
Fanfulik, a 2008 Green Wave graduate, finished with a two-day total of 142, which tied both Ryan Ames and Josh Bergrud.
Bergrud, the All City Championship defending champion, entered the day with a three-shot lead on Fanfulik and a five-shot lead on Ames.
Ames was the only sub-70 round on Sunday, firing a 69 to force the three-way tie.
The playoff hole came on No. 1, where Fanfulik bested the two others to claim his first All City Championship.
