NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Saturday fire at a Bellevue apartment complex left 12 units destroyed and 10 families displaced.
Nashville Fire Department crews responded to Slate Apartments Saturday morning, where a fire destroyed much of one of the complex buildings near the back of the property.
As displaced families work to get themselves back on their feet, the Bellevue community is finding ways to step up and aid those affected.
Councilmember Sheri Wiener says the response she’s seen has been nothing short of how the community steps up in times of need.
“It’s Bellevue, it’s what we do,” she said. “I am floored everyday at the kindness and the generosity of this community.”
