BEAUMONT, Texas — As the 2025 chapter of Pete Rossomando’s tenure at the helm of the Lamar Cardinals begins, the program is putting in the work for another winning season.

2024 marked significant progress for Big Red, with the Cardinals finishing second in overall defense in the Southland Conference and earning a four-week stay in the national rankings after their upset win over No. 20 Weber State.

Now beginning the 2025 chapter in the story of Rossomando's legacy at the helm of LU's football program, a lot of work has been done to hopefully provide yet another winning campaign.

"I think our first units on both sides of the ball are as good as we've had here since I've been here," Rossomando said in a press conference at the Dauphin Sports Complex on August 17.
