NASHVILLE, Tn. (KFVS) - Southeast Missouri State University soccer is still looking for its first win after two games.

The Redhawks fell 1-0 to former conference foe Belmont.

It took them a half, but the Bruins finally broke through SEMO’s defense, with a ball chipped-in and headed by Kaitlyn Elliot into the net. Redhawks goalkeeper Madison Geisler got a hand on the shot, but not enough to keep it out of the goal.

With the Redhawks only mustering four shots on the night, they weren’t able to find an equalizer.

SEMO continues its road trip Thursday, with a trip to rivals Southern Illinois. The Salukis are 1-0 on the season, after a 4-0 win in their season opener over Eastern Illinois.
