BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - It was a hot and muggy day across the Brazos Valley today, but as we start the new week, we’ll start to see some changes in the weather pattern.

THE SETUP :

Upper level trough pushing across the southeast (KBTX)

High pressure over the central United States will gradually shift toward the Four Corners region at the start of the week. This will allow an upper-level trough to move across the southeast U.S. just after mid-week, increasing coverage across the area through the end of the week.

IMPACTS:

Widespread totals through the weekend (KBTX)

Widespread totals by the weekend could range anywhere from 0.5″ to 1″ across the area, with some localized spots seeing 1″ or more. Because of this, the Weather Prediction Center has placed portions of the Brazos Valley
