SMITH COUNTY, Texas — Chapel Hill ISD held a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday to unveil to new facilities: the multipurpose activities center and The Academies building.
Both buildings are on the campus of Chapel Hill High School.
The multipurpose activities center is a massive indoor space (57,000 sq. ft.) that can accommodate the district's athletic teams, as well as the school's band and cheer and dance teams.
Just a short distance away, The Academies building houses Chapel Hill's career and technical education programs. Inside, students will be able to practice disciplines like construction, culinary arts, plant science, cosmetology and welding.
