FULTON, Wis. -- A 74-year-old man was found dead after a house fire on Saturday in the Town of Fulton, according to Lakeside Fire-Rescue.

Lakeside Fire-Rescue and Rock County Sheriff’s Office were called at at 10:02 p.m. for reports of a house fire on Newville Road. A passerby reported seeing flames on the outside of the home spreading to the roof.

Rock Count 9-1-1 tried to make contact with the listed resident but there was no answer. First arriving law enforcement units from the Rock County Sheriff's office believed that there were indications the resident was still inside.

The first Lakeside units arrived made immediate access into the home and found a fire in the living room area on the first floor with heavy smoke and heat conditions throughout but there were no victims there. Crew
