VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - A Vancouver family is in survival mode after a husband and father was killed while riding his bike just two miles from home.

“Jeff was very loved by pretty much everybody,” said Sabrina Buck. She and Jeff Buck’s relationship was filled with family and adventure.

“Dinner every night together, breakfast on the weekends. We were big into outdoors, so we’re out hiking, camping, whitewater rafting,” Sabrina said. They met 10 years ago - first, building a friendship. Then, over the past four years, a family.

“We hung out one day, and it ended up being every day we ended up being together,” she said.

Sabrina said Jeff rode his e-bike to work every day - always wearing his helmet, always aware of traffic.
