A summer holiday turned into a disaster for families with children left 'in tears' and 'having meltdowns' after being denied entry to a Haven park they had travelled to for their break.
The Presthaven beach resort in North Wales was compelled to cancel booked holidays over the weekend due to a burst main from Welsh Water causing water supply issues across Flintshire.
The resort reported a 'major drop in water pressure' on Friday (August 15) and, as a result of the water supply loss, had to shut down main facilities in the park. This meant that holidaymakers and private lettings arrivals could not have their bookings honoured.
Haven has since apologised to affected customers.
