Slang terms such as "skibidi", "delulu", and "tradwife" are among those which have been added to the Cambridge Dictionary this year.

Over 6,000 words have been added to the dictionary to reflect the fluid and constantly changing nature of the English language.

Many of the new words added relate to internet culture, tech giants, and remote working.

The English language has always been changing, from the introduction of Norman French into Anglo-Saxon, the Great Vowel Shift between the 15th and 18th centuries, and the emergence of US English as the most widely influential variant.
