SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - We are starting out the work week with patchy fog and mostly dry roads.
Temperatures are in the 70s with a few isolated showers along our southern coast. Well warm to the upper 80s by lunchtime with plenty of sunshine overhead. The wind will be from the northeast through the first part of the day, shifting to the southeast in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 90s with just an isolated shower or two possible, mainly south of the Altamaha River. Many of communities will remain dry through the afternoon into the evening hours
Beach conditions will go downhill through the week as Hurricane Erin parallels the coast safely offshore. Wave heights will be 6-8 feet on Tuesday and 8-11 feet on Wednesday. Dangerous rip currents will also be present, getting in the wat
