WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) An off-duty NYPD officer shot and killed a man with a gun late Sunday night in Manhattan, police say.

The off-duty cop was approached by two men on mopeds outside of a building on West 173rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue just after 9:45 p.m. Sunday night, according to authorities.
