The Met Office has warned of "thundery" and "heavy" showers in parts of the UK from tonight, as "changeable" conditions are forecast for later this week.

It comes after the UK has experienced its fourth heatwave of summer so far, with temperatures surpassing 30C in parts of the country over the past week.

The heatwave was set to last throughout the weekend but in some parts of the country the temperature dropped by a few degrees which resulted in a cooler weekend for some.

Although the heatwave is over, temperatures are set to remain in the 20Cs for most of the country.
