Two adults and two children are dead and five other people were taken to the hospital after a house fire in Hartford early Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to a home on Shultas Place around 2:36 a.m.

When crews arrived, they said they found the home engulfed in flames.
Fire crews tried to make entry, but could not because of the fire. A 35-foot ladder truck came and helped firefighters get into the second floor, however, the heat and flames became too intense so they backed out.
According to Hartford Fire Department Chief Rodney Barco, four people were killed in the fire. He did not release their names or ages. Five additional people were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries are unclear at
