FARGO — Todd and Bobbi Jo Cody have always worked as a team.

After years of selling Todd’s art at shows and flea markets, they took the plunge in 2014 and opened the Red Silo Boutique on Broadway. They created a line of products under the Red Silo brand. And when they renovated a tiny, 104-year-old bank in Wolverton, Minn., in 2024 to create the Red Silo Seasonal Marketplace, they did so side-by-side.

The Codys’ teamwork even extends to their work lives: Bobbi Jo is an art teacher at McKinley Elementary in north Fargo and Todd is a reading interventionist there.

Now the Fargo couple faces their biggest challenge yet. Earlier this summer, doctors discovered Todd had a cancerous tumor growing at the base of his tongue.
