MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Columbus man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Fairfield County over the weekend, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on Aug. 9 around 2:10 p.m. along state Route 674 near County Road 41 in Madison Township.
Investigators say a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck was heading south on Route 674 when the driver attempted to turn into a private driveway. A 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle , traveling northbound, struck the truck during the turn.
The motorcyclist, identified as 73-year-old Johnny Hackney , was transported to Grant Medical Center , where he later died from his injuries.
The pickup truck’s driver was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
