Gas prices in the Sunshine State fluctuate throughout the week but maintain a familiar and stable range, offering relief compared to last year’s costs.
Florida drivers experienced a week of fluctuations at the gas pump, with prices dropping, then rising, and finally easing back down. Despite the temporary “whiplash,” the overall price of gasoline has remained remarkably stable, staying within a consistent range for nearly a year.
The state average for a gallon of gas dropped to a low of $3.01 early last week, only to jump 12 cents by Thursday. The price then cooled off over the weekend, falling 6 cents to a Sunday average of $3.08 per gallon.
