TREMONTON, Utah – A domestic disturbance call turned deadly Sunday night when two Tremonton Garland Police Department officers were shot and killed, and a Box Elder County deputy and police service dog were wounded.
The incident began around 9 p.m. when dispatchers received multiple 911 hang-up calls from a home near 700 North 200 East, according to a news release from the Brigham City Police Department. An officer who responded began speaking with a resident about a reported disturbance when a man emerged from the house with a gun and opened fire.
The officer was struck and killed. A second Tremonton Garland officer who arrived moments later was also shot and killed.
When a Box Elder County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to assist, the suspect fired multiple rounds into their vehicle. The
