Supermarkets have put a stop to supplies from a pig farm following an investigation highlighted allegations of animal cruelty . Tesco and Asda have suspended their orders from Somerby Top Farm in Lincolnshire, run by British meat producer Cranswick. ‌

This follows a report by the Mail on Sunday claiming that workers would regularly 'hit pigs with boards, paddles and their fists, deliberately targeting areas such as their snout and eyes'.
