The South Carolina Department of Public Safety has announced the funeral arrangements for South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper First Class Dennis D. Ricks, who died on Wednesday, Aug. 13, four days after being hit by a vehicle during a traffic stop.

A visitation for Trooper Ricks will be held Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, 3926 Devine St. in Columbia.

Funeral services will take place the following day on Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at Shandon Baptist Church, located at 5250 Forest Dr. in Columbia.
