BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A new pavement project along U.S. 23 at the Boyd and Lawrence County line is now underway Monday.

Crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin by installing temporary traffic control signs Monday.

The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

On Tuesday, there will be lane closures on the north and southbound lanes of U.S. 23.

Then on Wednesday, through the rest of the week, crews will work on milling existing asphalt.

Starting next Monday, August 25 through next Friday, August 29, crews will work on putting down new asphalt paving.

KYTC says road work schedules could be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseen delays.
