NEWINGTON, CT (WFSB) - Shots were fired into a car by someone who rode a motorized scooter in Newington, according to police.
Police said the shooting appeared to have stemmed from a road rage incident on Hartford Avenue near the Hartford City Line on Aug. 16 around 8:25 p.m.
Newington police shared surveillance photos of the scooter riders.
Hartford police said it triggered their Shotspotter system. They said they found shell casings in the road on the Newington side.
“The initial investigation indicated that a there was a road rage type incident between a sedan and a group of motorized scooters,” Newington police said in their report. “During the altercation the operator of one of the scooters discharged a firearm into the sedan.”
