Four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Xavien Howard is signing with the Indianapolis Colts , his agent announced Monday.

Howard, 32, did not play last season after he was released last year by the Miami Dolphins , the team for which he starred during eight seasons.

The addition of Howard comes as the Colts have been beset by a series of four key cornerback injuries that have significantly depleted their depth. Howard also has a history with Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who was the Dolphins' defensive backs coach during Howard's first tw
