Penn State’s defensive front will be led by two of the premier linemen in the country – tackle Zane Durant and end Dani Dennis-Sutton.

Defensive line depth was a bit of an issue when the Nittany Lions began preseason practices.

Three linemen have now earned Defender of the Day mention from coordinator Jim Knowles.

The latest is redshirt freshman edge rusher Jaylen Harvey.

The 6-2, 251-pound Harvey appeared in five games in 2024, and he was named Penn State’s Developmental Squad Defensive Player of the Week leading up to the Kent State game.
