An 18-year-old man was injured and four people charged after a beating at Exhibition Park in Guelph.

Guelph police said the 18-year-old was lured to the park Friday to meet up with a girl, but when he arrived, he was “beaten up” by three people and had his watch stolen.

The man had several injuries and a large laceration on his head. Police found the man at the hospital after receiving reports of an injured man in the downtown area just after 11 p.m.

An 18-year-old Guelph man, a 17-year-old Guelph girl and a 16-year-old Guelph boy were all charged with assault causing bodily harm, and the 16-year-old was also charged with theft under $5,000.

A 15-year-old girl who arranged the meetup is charged with being a party to assault causing bodily harm.
