A Burlington County grandmother has filed a federal class action lawsuit against UPPAbaby alleging several of the company’s infant car seats pose a suffocation risk due to a defective design.

Theresa Jacobs, of Marlton in Evesham Township, bought the UPPAbaby Aria model car seat — which currently retails for nearly $500 — in December 2024 after researching its safety features, according to the complaint filed last week in U.S. District Court in New Jersey.
