A person has been taken to hospital with life-changing injuries after they were found on train tracks. British Transport Police were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks near Bury St Edmunds railway station just after 2.20pm today (Monday, August 18).

A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just after 2.20pm today (18 August) near Bury St Edmunds railway station. Officers and paramedics attended and a person has been taken to hospital with life-changing injuries. The incident is not thought to be suspicious.”
