President Donald Trump has long had concerns that mail-in ballots, which became more prevalent during the 2020 election because of the pandemic, are rampant with fraud. He also said he will seek to get rid of voting machines. Richard Briffault, a professor at Columbia Law School, says any change to federal election laws must be made by Congress, not through an executive order.
