SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Associated Press has named two Notre Dame football players to its preseason All-America first team.

Junior running back Jeremiyah Love and sophomore cornerback Leonard Moore were selected to the 27-man first team, which is determined by media members on the AP Top 25 voting panel.

Last season, Love rushed for 1,125 yards and 17 touchdowns — including one in each of the first 13 games of the season. He also had two receiving touchdowns.

Moore had 48 tackles, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups and two forced fumbles last season as a true freshman.

Earlier this summer, both Love and Moore were named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America First Team .

No Notre Dame players earned AP second-team honors.
