As Hollywood continues its incessant blood-sucking reliance on draining old intellectual property in lieu of supporting fresh ideas and stories, Sharon Stone is taking a righteous stand against the recently announced Basic Instinct reboot.
“I mean, go ahead, but good fucking luck,” Stone said with a laugh on Today when asked about the project, which Amazon MGM Studios announced earlier this summer.
The studio has put some serious backing behind the Basic Instinct reboot, enlisting original screenwriter Joe Eszterhas to pen the script for $2 million (against a possible $4 million if the film is made, per The Hollywood Reporter ).
