Max Wober endured a debut to forget for Werder Bremen. The versatile defender, on a season-long loan from Leeds United , picked up a muscle injury in their DFB Pokal first round loss to Arminia Bielefeld.
The Bundesliga club released a statement confirming Wober sustained a thigh/hamstring injury and will be out of action for a number of weeks. The Austrian international lined up at left-back but was forced off in the 79th minute of Friday's clash. He was replaced by Olivier Deman as Bremen crashed to a 1-0 defeat.
