Anti-racism campaigners have hit out after an anti-asylum demonstration in Falkirk sparked police action. ‌

Members of Save Our Future & Our Kids’ Futures’ met outside a hotel in the town on Saturday for what they called a “peaceful” protest. ‌

But as around 600 people joined the group ugly scenes unfolded as placards reading “Kill them All” and “We want our country back” were held up among the crowds before a 26-year-old man was arrested. ‌

Anti-racism counter-demonstrators were also at the scene on Saturday with police keeping the groups apart as they stood on opposite sides of the road outside the hotel.
