The 2025 college football season kicks off this week. After an offseason of evaluating rosters and tinkering with my power rankings before the season starts, I'm ready to share my top teams, which you can use to help gauge whether there's betting value in games between contenders.

So I'll be listing my 20 top teams and separating them into tiers all throughout the season. I will also set the point spread from Tier 1 compared to the rest of the tiers so you can clearly see how I value each group of teams. There are only two teams in my top tier ahead of the season, so we'll start with Tier 1 and end at Tier 5.
