Ibelieve that it is time for all of us to ask what it means to be an American, living in the land of the free, living in a democracy. I am so disappointed in both of our political parties. They weren’t perfect in the past, but there was a good dialog between the two.

They were proud of what is written on the statue of liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” And people around the world looked up to our country for accepting the poor and the oppressed from all over the world. There would not be a gestapo putting people into concentration camps, arresting persons accused of no crime, and imprisoning people without giving them a fair and public trial.
