A recent article points out how a growing number of adults have “put a cork in drinking” because they believe it to be a health risk ( “Gallup says fewer Americans tipping a glass; alcohol consumption at new low,” Aug. 15). But what about marijuana?

Marijuana poses an obvious health risk as well — using it while driving with your senses dramatically affected, for example. Since grass is legal in Maryland and 23 other states, and is a growing business, I guess we’ve made a choice not to interfere with that obvious health risk.
