MADISON, Wis. -- A woman charged in a fatal crash who was arrested by federal immigration authorities was returned to the Dane County Jail Friday night, online records show.

Noelia Martinez-Avila, 30, is accused of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and other felony charges in the deaths of 18-year-old Hallie Helgeson and 19-year-old Brady Heiling. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Martinez-Avila is from Honduras and is in the U.S. illegally.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said Martinez-Avila drove the wrong way on I-39/90 near DeForest and crashed into an SUV that Helgeson and Heiling were in. Helgeson died at the scene and Heiling died a few days later.
