Tennessee State Senator Bo Watson is highlighting the importance of his new recently enacted legislation called Right to Try for Individualized Treatment Act (SB 282), or Right to Try 2.0.

Senator Watson said the law expands access to individualized, potentially life-saving treatments for Tennesseans facing terminal or debilitating illnesses after all FDA-approved options have been exhausted. Download PDF

Watson included the following two examples of what the legislation means:

Allows patients access to treatments designed specifically for their DNA, especially critical for those with rare and ultra-rare diseases.
