In Tremonton, Utah, two police officers were killed and a sheriff's deputy was injured when a suspect opened fire during a domestic disturbance call on Sunday night (August 17). The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when officers from the Tremonton Garland Police Department and a deputy from the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple 911 hang-up calls at a residence near North Park Elementary School.

The suspect emerged from the home and opened fire , killing two officers and injuring the deputy and his police K-9. The deputy was later released from the hospital, and the K-9 is expected to recover.
