ICE didn’t just arrest a repeat border crosser in Maryland — they roasted him on social media, too.
Federal officers in Baltimore announced the arrest of 38-year-old Jose Lugo-Ibarra, a Mexican national who, according to ICE, has illegally entered the US nearly a dozen times.
But instead of just releasing the charges, ICE trolled Lugo-Ibarra’s face tattoos, posting his mugshot with the caption: “Can anyone read what his mustache says?”
Officials said Lugo-Ibarra has a final order of removal and will stay in ICE custody until he’s deported — again.
In the same post, ICE doubled down, saying Lugo-Ibarra would have to “go cold-turkey on illegal reentries” thanks to border enforcement by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
“ICE Baltimore arrested 38-year-old Mexican national Jose Lugo-Ibarra. Lugo has illegally entered the US almost a dozen times. He has a final order of removal and will remain in ICE custody.”
Lugo-Ibarra’s arrest comes as federal officials spotlight repeat offenders who defy deportation orders.
